It’s hot in Angkor Wat

The Apsara, a goddess of the clouds and waters adorn the the temples throughout Angkor Wat. They are ethereal, elegant and youthful beings dancing in the celestial palace. Some say there are over 1500 such goddesses adorning the ancient stone walls. The summer temperatures bring these goddesses out to bathe and here they are moving through the heat of the midday sun looking for a cool pool of water.
