The bubblegum bazaar was a focal point of Samarkand for many reasons. It was the original trading point for enthusiastic merchants bringing Amir’s new confection to the world.
The gang’s tour guide waxed eloquent about the wisdom of Amir, and how he proclaimed that bubblegum was good for overall health, could cure dropsy, chimney cough, and uncooperative blood, improve mental acuity and virility, and reduce stress within minutes.
It didn’t go unnoticed, the other reason the square was highly instagrammable: the two colorful and turgid towers, thrusting above the market, creating an ideal landmark for merchants and tourists alike.
