The Home of William Khan on the Onan River, 2024
William’s Gers were typical of the portable lifestyle of the Mongols, but atypical in their internal adornment and decoration. It wasn’t uncommon to see one fitted properly with neo-Rococo chairs paired with a lovely reimagined-Recamier chaise, or even lit with an Empire chandelier. When out and about doing what Khans of status, style and ambition do, his Gers would stand guarded by his sleek stallions, erudite toads, and trusted facilities manager and distant cousin Ernest Khan.
The rest is history.
